Borys Yevhenovych Paton famous scientist, the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine passed away on August 19, 2020.
Borys Paton was the main executive of Ukrainian science for the whole period of existence of our independent state and faithfully worked under maintenance and development of the scientific society. He was the first one who was awarded by honorary title Hero of Ukraine for achievements in development of the national science.
Borys Paton was not only well-known scientist in the field of welding technologies but also acknowledged social activist and member of many international scientific organizations.
Scientific staff of the Institute for Safety Problems of NPP expresses its sincere, deep condolences to the relatives of Borys Yevhenovych. Together with colleges of deceased we share the pain of heavy loss.
