Acceptance committee meeting at the National Science Center «Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology»
31 May, 2018 the meeting of acceptance committee on commissioning of physical protection system of Neutron Source Facility «Source of Neutrons» was held at the National Science Center «Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology» (NSC KIPT). Committee was set up by the Order No 286 of NAS of Ukraine dated 23 May, 2018 in accordance with the General Requirements to the Systems of Physical Protection of Nuclear Installations and Nuclear Materials approved by Order No 156 of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine dated 28 August, 2008. The committee included representatives of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine, Security Service of Ukraine, National Guard of Ukraine, local executive authorities and the operating organization – NSC KIPT. The chairman of the committee was appointed a director of the Institute for Safety Problems of NPP, NAS of Ukraine, corr. member Anatolii Nosovskyi.
During the work, due to the considered design and operational documents as well as self-examination of the physical protection status, the committee confirmed the compliance of the system with the applicable norms and rules and made its decision the act on commissioning of physical protection system of Neutron Source Facility «Source of Neutrons» at the NSC KIPT.
