International research workshop in Lanzhou (People’s Republic of China)
In period from 25 to 29 September, 2017 in Lanzhou (China) there was held an international workshop “Second Research Coordination Meeting CRP on Accelerator Driven Systems (ADS) – Applications and use of Low-Enriched Uranium” organized by the Lanzhou University (Lanzhou, China), International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
The workshop addressed issues of subcritical systems, application of low enriched uranium fuels for such systems, and modelling of subcritical reactors.
27 participants from 14 countries as well as representatives of the IAEA took part in the scientific meeting. Experts of the Institute for Safety Problems of NPP, NAS of Ukraine (Kyiv) and National Science Center Kharkov Institute of Physics and Technology (Kharkiv) represented Ukraine at the research meeting.
Ph.D. Volodymyr Gulik (Senior researcher of the Institute for Safety Problems of NNP, Kyiv) has presented his oral report “The current status of the ADS activity at Institute for Safety Problems of NPP”.
