Report Presentation at the Geoinformatics 2021 Conference
From May 10 to 14, 2021, a conference organized by the European Association of Geologists and Engineers (EAGE) and the All-Ukrainian Association of Geoinformatics (AUAG) took place in Kyiv, Ukraine. It was the jubilee XX International Conference “Geoinformatics: theoretical and applied aspects”. Because of quarantine conference was held online.
Scientists I. O. Kovalenko, M. I. Panasyuk, N. V. Sosonna from the Institute for safety problems of NPP of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukrainehave taken part at the Conference GEOINFORMATICS-2021.
The conference had a rich scientific program, 158 presentations were presented, which lasted about 2800 minutes.
The report «Creation of a Mathematical Model of Radiohydrogeological Conditions of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone» was presented by I. O. Kovalenko. Scientists from ISP NPP NAS Ukraine (I. O Kovalenko, M. I. Panasyuk, N. V. Sosonna) and SI “IGE NAS of Ukraine” (V. V. Dolin) have collaborated for this work.
The aim of the work was to present the possibilities of mathematical modeling of radiohydrogeological conditions of the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone and to highlight the peculiarities of creating such models.
The report discussed the structure, functions, and possibilities of applying mathematical models to study the environment, levels of groundwater pollution, and mentioned the use of the model to implement the IAEA grant: “Methods for Analyzing the Hydrogeological Characteristics of Aquifers in the Vicinity of Nuclear Power Plants using Indicators” (contract with the IAEA № 22546) and others.
Presented reports with oral and poster information are posted on the conference web-site. Conference materials are included in the Scopus database.
