Participation of the ISP NPP Scientists in the Inscience Conference 2023
On June 17-18, a popular science Inscience Conference 2023 was held in Ukraine, the theme of which this year is Science to Rebuild Ukraine. Science for the reconstruction and victory of Ukraine, in which not only scientists and educators, but also business and society are involved and will be involved.
Olena Pareniuk, a senior researcher of the Institute for Safety Problems of NPP of the NAS of Ukraine, made a report at the conference. The topic of her report was “How to explore space in Chornobyl?” – on the prospects of interdisciplinary radiation research for the space sphere in the New Safe Confinement of the Shelter object.
As part of the conference, there was also a panel discussion on the importance of involving women scientists in the reconstruction of the country after the full-scale war launched by Russia against Ukraine. In particular, in the panel discussion, the researcher of the ISP NPP Kateryna Shavanova shared the story of her path in science, about the importance of mentoring and scientific networking for young people.
