Patent Received
The Institute for Safety Problems of Nuclear Power Plants of the NAS of Ukraine received a Patent for a useful model “Method of determining the optimal loading characteristics of a container for high-level waste”, registered in the Ukrainian National Office of Intellectual Property and Innovation.
A useful model allows determining the optimal loading characteristics of a protective container for long-term storage of high-level waste generated as a result of post-project accidents at enterprises with radiation-nuclear technologies, in particular at nuclear power plants.
The developers of the useful model are Ph.D. in Tech. Sc. Valerii Volodymyrovych Derenhovskyi, Ph.D. in Phys. and Math. Sc. Dmytro Volodymyrovych Fedorchenko.
This model can be useful when designing the control of optimal loading of containers at enterprises related to the management and storage of high-level waste, on the radiation loading control system.
It was successfully tested in the course of the research work “Scientific and technical support at the stage of putting into operation an industrial complex for the processing of solid radioactive waste.”
