The experience of military formations in eliminating the consequences of the accident at the Chornobyl NPP through the prism of radiation and chemical threats

     The purpose of the work was to analyze and generalize the experience of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, representatives of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Health in the liquidation of the consequences of the accident at the Chornobyl NPP, the development of scientific recommendations on radiation protection, taking into account the radiation effect on a person and his environment through the prism modern radiation threats. The main medical consequences of the accident at the Chornobyl NPP, the state of health and medical care of the population of Kyiv region and other affected regions are highlighted. The monograph summarized the results of the scientific and practical conference with international participation “Current issues of chemical safety, anti-radiation protection and risk assessment of chemical and radiation exposure to human health and the environment through the lens of modern CBRN threats” (online) on November 30, 2022. The monograph is intended for doctors of various profiles, scientific specialists, students of the Ukrainian Military Medical Academy, students of medical schools and educational institutions of postgraduate education, and military specialists in the organization of radiation, chemical and biological protection of troops.
