Signing of the Framework Agreement
Official ceremony of the Framework Agreement signing between the Administrative Committee of Qingdao Free Economic and Technological Development Zone and the Joint Venture “China-Ukraine Xianchu Nuclear Energy Technology Co., Ltd.” was held on October 26, 2018 in Qingdao (PRC). Founders of the Joint Venture are “Xianchu Energy Development Group” (PRC), the Institute for Safety Problems of NPP of the NAS of Ukraine and the State Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine.
According to the Agreement the Joint Venture “China-Ukraine Xianchu Nuclear Energy Technology Co., Ltd.” has an intention to invest in the project on creation of the research institute and building of its main office on the territory of the Qingdao Free Economic and Technological Development Zone. The main direction of the project is creation of research labs and production capacities for research, development and production in fields of radiation-protected robotics, ventilation and cooling facilities for NPPs, rehabilitation of the contaminated territories, etc.
On the part of the Joint Venture “China-Ukraine Xianchu Nuclear Energy Technology Co., Ltd.” the Agreement was signed by Chen Kun, the Head of the Board of Directors of the Joint Venture, and on the part of the Administrative committee of Qingdao Free Economic and Technological Development Zone – Lu Yujun, a Director of the Committee. Anatolii Zahorodnii, an academician and Vice-President of the NAS of Ukraine, Anatolii Nosovskyi, corresponding member of the NAS of Ukraine, the Director of the ISP NPP of the NAS of Ukraine, Dmytro Humeniuk, the Head of Division of the State Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine, Anatolii Myronchuk, Head of the International Affairs Department of the NAS of Ukraine, Artem Rozhdestvenskyi, the First Secretary of Ukrainian Embassy in the PRC and other officials participated in the ceremony of the signing.
